Intro: Lead Climbing
Ready to move beyond top rope? Learn the skills to lead climb and belay with confidence in a small class led by an experienced Sender One instructor.
Series: Two 2.5-hour classes, one week apart

You’ll learn and practice:
- Lead climbing technique & safety
- Lead belay technique & safety
- How to efficiently & safely clip quickdraws
- Rope management
- Common mistakes while climbing or belaying
- Lead falling
- Lead catching
All equipment and gym access for the day are included.
This class is for climbers who:
- Have a Sender One Top Rope Belay Card
- Can consistently climb 5.10b without falling or taking
- 6+ months of climbing experience recommended
- Are 14+
Class details:
- Please arrive on time. We can’t admit participants more than 5 minutes after class starts.
- At least 2 participants are required. If only one person is registered, we’ll reschedule the class.
- The lead belay test is taken on a separate day.
